You will learn the skills needed to become outstanding contributors to the workforce and further examine your career ambitions. EagleRidge High School requires 40 hours of Career Exploration to graduate.
Designing your Career Exploration:
Students must demonstrate readiness for exploration by meeting and maintaining school conduct codes, display willingness to participate in professional training opportunities, and maintain high academic standards.
Students must complete the Student Focus Survey and schedule an initial interview with the Academic Advisor or the Community Involvement Coordinator.
The student, and either the Academic Advisor or the Community Involvement Coordinator, will confer to determine placement, schedule, professional attire and appropriate behavior.
Further discussion will focus on explaining the necessary documentation from
both the exploration supervisor and the student.
Students are responsible for providing evidence of their progress and completion through regular meetings between the Academic Advisor or the Community Involvement Coordinator.
Students are required to submit signed time sheets and the completed evaluation form in the back of the CE handbook. These items are documentation of a complete CE and are placed in the student’s permanent file.
