I am so pleased to be working with EagleRidge High School as the Public Relations Coordinator. With a backgrou nd in sales and marketing, I came to EagleRidge in May of 2009 excited about the possibilities this school has to offer.
My husband, Shane, and I moved to Klamath Falls in 2004 from the Rogue Valley. We both grew up in Talent, Oregon and enjoyed the small town atmosphere. As the valley grew, we began looking for a new small town to call home. The offerings at OIT brought us to Klamath Falls and we fell in love with the community, the country, and the climate - we’ve never looked back. I brought my job as VP of Sales & Marketing with Rising Sun Farms (Phoenix, OR) with me to Klamath Falls and worked from my home office for 2 years. After receiving an offer to be the General Manager of an equine magazine that I’d loved since childhood, I left the farm and started work for Pioneer Newspapers (owner of Herald and News and my new employment, Cascade Magazines.) After 4 years, the company sold the magazine division to an out-of-the area company and I decided it was time to make a change in career direction. After 17 years in a revenue generating employment track, I was ready for a career that gave back to the community.
As they say, timing is everything, just as I began telling friends and acquaintances that I would be available for work, a dear friend informed me that EagleRidge was looking for a person to fill a newly created marketing position. The philosophy behind EagleRidge is one that matches well with my concepts of community involvement and “giving back.” I love my job and enjoy talking about the school to people from around the Basin and beyond.
My time, when not working at the school, is filled with projects galore. Major hobbies include my 2 horses and 3 dogs, remodeling our home, continued education and extensive traveling to extreme off road trails from the Rubicon in California to Moab in Utah.
